Dolly Parton's sisters push back on feud rumors after nephew's legal battle with star's estate erupts

Nearly one month after Parton's death, her sisters pushed back against reports of infighting within the family, insisting they remain united as a separate legal dispute involving the singer's longtime manager and nephew resulted in a temporary restraining order.

Parton's sister Stella echoed Freida's message, emphasizing that the family remains united as it continues to navigate its grief.

"We are also grieving the loss of our brother Denver who passed less than a month before her. All families have the same struggles since we are all living in this world having a human experience!

"We are still intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them as well," she added. 

"Regardless of what you may have seen on different news outlets, we are all doing what you would be doing under the same circumstances, we are living our lives one day at a time and being grateful for every blessing."

Nozell and She's Alive accused Seaver of sending increasingly threatening messages in the weeks leading up to their request for a temporary restraining order. The filing came after She's Alive fired Seaver over his alleged "terrorizing conduct."

Court documents obtained by The Associated Press show text messages and emails allegedly sent by Seaver.

In one message written Sept. 1 and included in the court documents, Seaver said, "I'm going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly's brand partnerships and telling the violations these people have done on us. It's going to be great. Or f---ing pay me."

Seaver's company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, had provided Parton's security detail throughout her career. Parton chose Seaver to publicly announce her death. The singer-songwriter died Aug. 25.
