Cambodia Tourism Board Partners With Ministry Of Culture To Boost Tourism Through Cambodia Film Lab

The Cambodia Film Lab is a unique platform that merges filmmaking education with destination marketing. By training young filmmakers to craft films that showcase the country's tourism potential, the CFL aims to combine the artistic appeal of cinema with the allure of Cambodia's landscapes, heritage, and cultural vibrancy. Through this initiative, the CTB and the DCCD hope to inspire global audiences to discover Cambodia, not only through traditional tourism methods but also through the power of cinematic storytelling.

The CFL program provides comprehensive training in filmmaking, offering a hands-on learning experience for aspiring talents eager to make their mark in the media industry. The eight-week course covers the basics of filmmaking, including scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, sound, and editing. It culminates in the production of two short films that will serve as promotional pieces for Kampot, with the goal of raising awareness of the province's tourism offerings.

In addition to filmmaking techniques, trainees will also gain insight into how to incorporate destination marketing into their stories. By weaving together captivating visuals with authentic Cambodian narratives, the students will help convey the message that Cambodia is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking both cultural immersion and natural beauty.
